Friday Finance Notes #4 - How To Overcome The Fear of Investing.
It’s pretty simple!
You can overcome the fear that will attempt to hold you back by focusing on small wins at the start.
People tend to try to go against significant obstacles and get frustrated when they're unable to overcome.
Instead, it would be best if you built momentum by gathering a lot of small wins under your belt.
How do you get on the rollercoaster despite being scared?
You take one step after the other, take a deep breath, and close your eyes if you need to.
When the fear of heights creeps in, you can tell yourself that you'd just close your eyes and never see it.
How do you get familiar with taking risks with your finances?
You can start by letting 10% of your savings go into a risky venture you haven't tried before.
This way, when the fear of losing it all creeps in, you can assure yourself that you've got 90% left to fall back on.
The majority of the battle you have to fight and win is in your head and with your mind.
When you're able to make 10% work, you can make 30% work. The more baby steps you take, the further away from your starting point you get. And that’s the goal!
So, what's the riskiest thing you've done with your money?
Until next time,
