You Can Create Wealth.
How much money do you want to have?
Many people aspire to be rich. Some others try to remain modest, claiming to be okay with just being “comfortable.” They say things like, “If I can provide for myself and my family, then I’m good.”
I, on the other hand, want to be wealthy af! My plans are too big to be fueled by just being “comfortable.”
Do you know how much money you really want to have?
There’s actually no wrong answer to this. No matter the level of money you want to operate from, there is a fundamental principle you need to understand.
To earn money, you need to provide value.
The worth of the value you provide is determined by the people who pay for it. There’s no more basic truth than this.
Why do you think everyone is trying to get you to learn a skill?
You don’t get paid because of the skill you possess. You get paid for the value you can provide with this skill. This is why certificates are useless if you can’t show what you can do.
Your reason for learning a skill shouldn’t be because you want to make more money.
Many people find it challenging to choose a skill to learn or profit from the skills they’ve learned because they went in through the wrong door — the need to make money.
Your goal should always be to provide value. There are so many things in the world that you can do to make money. If your focus is to make money, of course, you will be distracted by these many options.
Choosing to go after value helps you narrow down your options.
You need to decide what value you want to offer to the world. Ideally, you want to be somewhat interested in what you choose since it’s what you’ll be working on for the foreseeable future.
The value you choose to provide needs to be found in the intersection between what you love to do and a pain point that more than a few people have.
Remember that it’s not really the skill that earns you money but the value you can create with it.
Don’t run after trends or buzzwords. Don’t learn to Copywrite or trade just because it’s what everyone does to make money these days.
Figure out your own sweet spot and keep drilling until you hit gold or find oil.
Until next time,
